Few things are more iconic to summer in Alaska’s interior than fireweed. While fully bloomed fireweed is a beauty to see, we Fairbanksans know this signals the end of summer. What a bittersweet sight.

Made in Fairbanks, Alaska of seasoned birch bark from firewood. Cut, shaped and decorated free-hand in a little dry cabin in the woods. These earrings are are made from bark selected for durability and protected with a polymer shelac. Hooks are surgical steel (hypoallergenic).
